Qualification Structure
Learners must complete two mandatory units:
Unit 1 – Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment
This unit covers the theory behind assessment. You will learn about assessment methods, planning, involving learners, making assessment decisions, quality assurance, record keeping, and the legal and good practice requirements you must follow.
Unit 2 – Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding
This unit focuses on practical assessing skills. You will learn how to prepare assessments, observe learners, use questioning, provide constructive feedback, maintain accurate records, and follow professional responsibilities during the assessment process.
Course Completion Time
Learners are expected to complete this qualification within 3 months, with a maximum time limit of 12 months.
